I blogged about my Toshiba laptop problems a while back. Since that time, the computer has been in the shop a couple of times. Last week I had to take it in once again -- another bad hard drive. This is the 4th hard drive that has been in the computer since I got it about 2 years ago. That makes the scorecard:

• 4 hard drives
• 2 microprocessors
• 4 motherboards
• 2 video cards
• 2 keyboards

You would think I was using the thing as a water ski, the way it has been failing. No, it just sits on my desk. I hardly use it any more because it is so unreliable. I can't keep anything important on it.

In related news, my home DVD player has also failed. It's a Toshiba also. . .
